Chalet L'Hirondelle is let with a Flexible Catering Service.It is becoming increasingly clear that skiers and boarders are looking for more choice when booking a chalet holiday. We now understand that more flexibility is required and rather than being committed to eating in a chalet on six set days, there is a demand for holidays to be taken on a self-catered, or semi-catered basis as well as the more traditional fully catered. Our aim is to give you the flexibility to design your own ski chalet holiday from choice of chalet, type of catering required to timing of meals. We would like to advise and help find what suits you best. We believe we are one of the very few independent operators to offer this unique choice.
Self Catered; Whilst self-catered ski holidays have always been available, it is rare to find suitable accommodation of a high standard or big enough to take larger groups. All our properties are rented as a whole and beds will be made up, and towels provided, ready for your arrival. You will be welcomed by us and we will be on hand to help you with anything during your stay.
Semi Catered; In our quest to make your holiday as flexible as possible, we have created the Semi-Catered option which allows you to prepare your own breakfasts and afternoon teas and we will then come into the chalet and prepare and serve a three course evening meal with wine on six nights out of seven.
Fully Catered; We consider the quality of cooking to be one of the most important aspects of a chalet holiday, therefore a lot of focus is directed at ensuring that our guests receive delicious home-cooked food and wines which have been specially selected by us. Fully catered holidays include cooked and continental breakfasts, afternoon tea and evening meals served on 6 days. Staff have one day off per week.Each day will begin with a hearty breakfast You have the choice of English and/or Continental breakfasts, both served with freshly-brewed tea and coffee, cereals, porridge, freshly-baked bread and jams, yoghurts, chilled fruit juice and fresh fruit. Afternoon tea of freshly-baked cake or home-made biscuits with a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate. The evening will start with canapes followed by a creative and delicious 3-course meal with a choice of both red and white wine and the evening is then finished off with fresh coffee and chocolates.
The Chalet is extremely comfortable and spacious. It is situated in the peaceful village of Chandon, just five minutes from Meribel centre, and thus ideally positioned to give you a relaxing, rustic environment with all the advantages of a connection to anywhere in the Three Valleys, and to the Meribel nightlife just minutes away. The Chalet has a large homely living room on the first floor with open log fire and deep, comfortable sofas. It has Sky TV with DVD ; Large fully fitted kitchen and dining table big enough for 14 persons. It has six twin bedrooms that can accommodate up to fourteen persons Bedroom 4 has a mezzanine area with two additional beds. Each bedroom has its own fully fitted en-suite bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have balconies. All bedrooms are well equipped with built-in wardrobes, cotton bed linen, hairdryers and luxurious bath towels.
The chalet is situated only 50 meters from the free bus stop. Getting to the slopes is easy as the free bus journey passes through Meribel Le Raffort, where you can get on the Olympic gondola taking you to Le Chaudanne, Meribel Village, where you can get on the Golf high speed chair lift to the nursery areas, or after just 12 minutes the free bus arrives at Meribel Chaudanne where there are five different lifts to start from.
We can also organize your airport to resort transfer, ski equipment hire, lift passes and advise on ski schools.
Payment
Bank transfer, cheque, credit card taken in Euros subject to commission fee.
Deposit
25% deposit with balance payable eight weeks before holiday.GBP 500 Returnable Security deposit required.
Cleaning
Final Cleaning is included everywhere except kitchen area.
