During the winter, the village offers 34 km of downhill ski slopes around the wonderful Roc d'Enfer with beautiful views of Lake Geneva, "The Dents du Midi" and the Mont-Blanc range.

Saint Jean d'Aulps village and resort, offers skiers the magnificent ski area named 'La Grande Terche' and its detour in the forest in a wild frame offers splendid scenery and panorama views. The beautiful village is a convivial resort where you can also practice snowshoe trekking, paragliding and sledging. Saint Jean d'Aulps also benefits with a ski bus link towards the other ski resorts of the Portes du Soleil.

In both the winter and the summer, St Jean d'Aulps offers a nice liveliness, and the events program is available each week at the Tourist Office.

During summmer there are over 200 km of sign-posted footpaths through the stunning surrounding countryside, which, if desired will take you all the way to the mountain tops. These paths explore the Vallee d'Aulps and offer you ability to discover the different villages, lakes, mountains tops and rich alpine fauna and flora.


The Ski Area: Portes du Soleil

The Portes Du Soleil is the largest linked ski area in the world, and is made up of 14 French and Swiss resorts in the Alps. It boasts some 650km of piste in the winter along with over 300km of marked mountain bike trails in the summer.
