Marmotte Mountain Hideaway is less than three years old so all the features are in perfect condition.  There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedroom upstairs, all with use of their own bathroom.

• The chalet comes fully equipped with a large flat screen tv complete with a home cinema sound system, sky box tv connection, free wi-fi internet connection, underfloor heating and an american style kitchen with all mod cons.
• The property also has the added luxury of having an indoor heated swimming pool and a Swedish style sauna located in the downstairs basement - what better way to relax after a hard day on the mountain.
• And new for season 2008/09, is the installation of a new luxury outdoor hot tub
• There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 2 bedroom upstairs, all with the use of their own bathroom.
• The downstairs living area is made up of a new comfortable L shape style sofa lounge and arm chair that play host to the home entertainment system.  The dining room table and main kitchen area are also located downstairs.  A side door leading from the diningroom area exits out onto a quiet wooden deck to where you will find the outdoor hot tub.
• The upstairs living area hosts an additional tv/dvd player as well as a comfortable leather sofa bed that is capable of sleeping 2 additional guests if required.  The upstairs living area also has a balcony with spectacular views of the Grand Montets resort.
• For larger groups of up to 18, it is possible to also take the sister chalet to MM Hideaway - this chalet is located directly next door but is joined in the basement to share the swimming pool and sauna

Location
Marmotte Mountain Hideaway has a fabulous location, situated less than 100 metres away from the Grand Montets ski lift station in Argentiere.  A huge highlight of the location is that guests have the luxury of being able to completely ski in and ski out, quite a rare privilege in the Chamonix Valley.

Better still, the Argentiere ski school and the Panda Club ski school for kids are located even closer, with the Panda Club utilising a ski slope that is part of the back garden of the chalet.

Marmotte Mountain Hideaway also provides those who enjoy going for beautiful walks into the forest great opportunites.  Spectacular walking tracks are located just at the rear of the chalet.

For kids, the chalet provides lots of great after ski activities.  Sledding can be enjoyed on the gentle slopes that surround the chalet, snowman built in the back garden of the chalet and the indoor heated swimming pool is at your disposal.

To access the village, a 5-10 minute walk takes you into the town centre of Argentiere.  Argentiere village has a great range of bars and restaurants, a supermarket, a newsagent, a pharmacy and many other specialty shops catering to a wide range of needs.

About us
Being a small, privately run company, we pride ourselves on being personally involved in the day-to-day running of the chalet, ensuring the very finest in quality service. We are happy to provide daily information on the ski terrain, current snow conditions, local attractions, restaurants, bars and entertainment.

Your host Jon, has been an avid skier and snowboarder for the past 10 years, five of these spent in the Chamonix/Courchevel region. He has great passion and enthusiasm for snowboarding and skiing, as well as an excellent knowledge of the local terrain. Therefore, he is able to help you to decide where to ski/board for the day, considering the current conditions

Fine Dining Cuisine

All of the chefs employed by Marmotte Mountain are fully qualified with extensive experience in fine dining restaurants and 5 star hotels.  Therefore the quality of the food being served can be expected to be of a very high standard.

Each morning we provide a full french style breakfast comprising of fresh bread, croissants and pastries, a selection of yogurts, cereals, local meats and cheeses, a large fruit bowl and freshly brewed tea and coffee. A cooked breakfast can be arranged for those who so desire.

Upon return to the chalet after your day on the mountain, you may help yourself to an afternoon tea made up of freshly baked cakes, muffins or cookies, tea and coffee or a nice cold beer from the chalet fridge to help you unwind.

For dinner, you will be served a delicious four course fine dining evening meal accompanied with a good selection of local French wines.

We are also able to cater for any special dietary requirements. Dinner is provided for 5 out of the 7 nights. This allows you the opportunity to also experience some of Chamonix's great fine dining restaurants which we can arrange for you.

A special children's menu is available for families and we offer separate dining times for children if so desired.

A fresh bowl of fruit is always available.

A Family Ski Chalet
Marmotte Mountain Retreat and Marmotte Mountain Hideaway are both very family friendly ski chalets.  Both chalets enjoy a private forest location with beautiful open spaces, so kids are able to safely play outside in the snow and the surrounding areas for hours.

Marmotte Mountain Hideaway also has the added bonus of being located less than 50m away from the panda club ski school for kids.

Marmotte Mountain Retreat has a shelter with hay to house the frequently visiting deer. You can easily view the shelter from the chalet grounds which makes for great entertainment.

We offer many facilities to especially accommodate children. These include

• Reliable in-house child minding services.
• Special children's menu with separate dining times.
• DVD player with extensive dvd library for children.
• Variety of board games.
• Toboggans/sleds for play outside the chalet.
• Shovels and spades to build and play with outside the chalet snowmen, snow tunnels/caves can be built on the chalet doorstep
• Arrange bookings for the panda club or ski school in Argentiere.
• Provide sleeping amenities for infants.

Transfers
Upon your arrival to Geneva airport, we will be there to meet you to provide a fast and efficient private minibus transfer to your chalet in Argentiere. We also provide a return airport transfer on completion of your stay with us.

In the resort, we offer minibus drop off service each morning and minibus pick up each afternoon at the ski resort of your choice in the Chamonix valley.

For those wanting to experience a day trip outside of the Chamonix valley e.g. Courmayeur, St Gervais, Megeve, Les Contamines, Verbier, we are able to provide transport to these areas at a very reasonable cost. We also offer sightseeing trips to the picturesque and quaint town Annecy or a day of relaxation spent soaking in the Lavey thermal pools in the nearby Swiss mountains.

Chamonix Ski Lift passes and Ski Hire
We can arrange to have your ski passes bought in advance and ready for you to use upon your arrival. This means no long cueing on your first day.

We can also help you with ski or snowboard hire. All Marmotte Mountain Retreat clients benefit from receiving a 10% discount off the rental price from selected ski shops.
