Urban Plagne is changing with the seasons with the Winter Urban Plagne taking place during April 2010. Urban Plagne which was originally a summer event introducing summer urban sports to the resort and its visitors, is now donning its winter woollies and showcasing a range of winter urban sports such as Snow Skate, snowscoot and wake snow replacing their summer counterparts of skateboarding, BMX and wakeboarding.
It also includes the Urban Legend of Snow contest, that sees teams of five consisting of four riders and a cameraman/photographer, carrying out a number of crazy challenges that push the riders imaginations and skills to the limits whilst being captured on film.

The ultimate Alpine race testing stamina, fitness and pure grit and determination comes to La Plagne in the shape of The Snow Trail or what is otherwise known in France as Trail des Neiges. The race is a mountain race that takes place on a March evening and covers 15km of race trails and 500m of climbing. The runners will conduct the race at more than 2000 meters and be equipped with head torches as they pass through the darkness of the winter evening and a number of different high altitude resorts.
