Cool mountain sports and fashion combine for a weekend geared up for the girls! During a weekend in mid January female visitors will enjoy a great range of activities brought to them by Salomon and Chamonix tourism.

There will be a mixture of activities both on and off the piste, including ski lessons, snow-shoeing, Salomon fashion show, ice climbing and acces to skiing at Les Grands Montets. Even better all the activities are free of charge to women and include free entry into the museums and exhibition centres of Chamonix!

Christmas officially comes to Chamonix during the weekend of 5th-7th December. Visitors and locals alike will see the town transformed into a Christmas wonderland getting everyone into the festive spirit.

The town will turn on their Christmas decorations and from 5:15pm on the Friday right through to the Sunday afternoon children will be able to pay Santa a visit in Santa’s mailbox, enjoy the children’s parade and tombola and take part in the children’s ice hockey competition.

From the 11th to the 13th July, Chamonix becomes the mecca for climbers worldwide during the Chamonix Mont Blanc’s International Climbing Festival. The three day event brings together Frances best climbers as they compete in a number of qualifiers over the event for the world cup speed climbing and world cup difficulty climbing titles.

from Tuesday 25 August 2009 to Sunday 30 August 2009Unique in its kind, this event crosses 3 countries on foot (France, Italy and Switzerland), covers 166 kilometres and 9,400 metres climb in one fell swoop. A race with a time limit of 46 hours, the current held record being 21 hours and 6 minutes.
