companies have agreed to start running lifts on December 6th - the earlier
of the two possible resort opening dates.
With 70cm of snow on the upper runs, 45cm in the resort, and more snow
being created by snowcanons, conditions look very good already. More snow
is forecast from Sunday onwards raising hopes that we will enjoy the same
excellent snow conditions as last December.
The provisional list of Méribel valley lift opening dates is as follows:
Saturday 6th December:
Tougnète 1 gondola (this year’s new lift)
Saulire 1 & 2 gondolas (giving access to Courchevel)
Pas du Lac 1 & 2 gondolas, (giving access to Courchevel)
Doron draglift
Saturday 13th December:
Golf chairlift (from Méribel Village)
Tougnète 2 gondola
Altitport draglift and chairlift
Rhodos 1 & 2 gondolas
Plattières 1-2-3 and Chalets gondolas (giving access to Les Menuires)
Arolles, Combes, Plan des Mains chairlifts
Côte Brune chairlift (giving access to Val Thorens),
Roc de Tougne 1 & 2 draglifts,
