With the Gourmet Drive held every summer, golf becomes a fun celebration. The event attracts gastronomes who worship the virtues of fine food, sportsmen and women indulging their passion and close and far-away friends who get together on the green baize of the course high above Méribel.
Rising to the challenge of constantly delighting golfers, the chefs vie with each other for inventiveness and know-how. And in a region with a reputation for gastronomy they elaborate mouthwatering treasures that raise the local produce to new heights.
In Méribel, some say that this is par for the course… a versatile and versicolour course with bursts of green and bursts of laughter, the green of fir trees and the bottle green of absinth, the olive green of the aperitifs, the Veronese green of the fairways in the sunset and the pale green of verbena tea that helps you digest it all.
The pleasures of sport and fine food are still the ingredients of a successful recipe.
